Default Odometer cutting out

This morning I was on my way into work and noticed that my odometer was not on. Hit the select/reset button and nothing. Hit a bump and it came back, then went out a few seconds later. Tapped on the dash and it came back. So something's loose. Anyone had this before?

I'm also wondering if this is the cause, or a coincidence; Detailed my truck yesterday including a shampoo of the interior, so there was some moisture trapped in the truck last night.

never had it but removing the bezel piece of cake removing the pannel, pretty easy. just reconnect the cable after that.

it happens to all the 99-03 f150 with the digital odo. the solder is bad and cracks and causes the digital display not to work. I think there is a tsb out on this. all you have to do is use a low voltage solder iron and add solder to the old. the odometer still works it is just a pain in the *** when you cant read it.

I not only searched for your write up, I saved it to my favorites so I didn't have to search for it again when I get ready to actually do this repair, lol

This is a tad off topic, but has anyone had a similar issue with the digital thermometer?
