Default Need some solid advice for setup

I'm getting a jasper engine and having trans rebuilt by godfatherracing in Fraser.

I'm adding a k and n cold air intake and wanna add flowmaster muffler.

My question is I want a nice sounding one but don't want it super loud with windows up in cab. I read the 40 sounds good. Does anyone have a flow on there truck that sounds sweet.

I also purchased a SCT X4 with 3 custom tunes so the races shop is gonna clear out the bad cats and disable the o2 sensors.

Anybody with ideas shoot them my way.

Thanks

Personally, I wouldn't waste my time with the flowmaster. Going from a flowmaster to a magnaflow, both setup without cats, I saw a boost in power, a huge tone down in cab drone, and cackling, and the Sound is so much more refined. It sounds more muscular and mean, not just loud and redneck like before.

Before(flowmaster40)

Now(magnaflow 14")

I second browning, I'm running the same setup and it sounds sweet and to go along with that you should look into doing gotts mod with a good filter like an amsoil ae filter.

Go with this instead of a k&n

I have a K&n intake that came with the truck and I'm considering removing it.

^ second that.

I'd take the muffler one step further and get a Borla for the least drone. Borlas cost more though. Magnaflow is the best for your dollar.

Not sure why you say that?

Better recommendations or just a brick toss?

Jaspers have a questionable reputation. But the Internet makes it seem like anything other than a Ford crate motor for $9k is a crap shoot.

Better recommendations ? (fixed it)
Past Experiences. Without going through them all or what I recall anyway, -skip to recommendations.

#1. A used modular motor is the best choice. One that's proven and needs a home. You can compression test cold before you purchase or use the salvage yards warranty if you have to. Regardless, cost effective, these engines are VERY resilient and will run strong for 300,000 miles plus when taken care of.

#2. A Ford Motor Company Re-manufactured Modular Motor. No further explanation needed.
