Better recommendations or just a brick toss?
There are pros and cons to anything you decide, i would worry to much about the jasper engine. I have been installing them for 12 years ( 50+ Engines). I have had a few issues with one here and there but jasper stands behind their warranty and has always taking care of it. Used engines are fine but know most come with only a start up warranty, if it throws a rod in 2 months you are SOL.
Factory engine is definitely the best choice but also the most expensive

Yea, I wouldn't purchase one with that warranty. I haven't seen one that ****y yet. I've seen 30 days to 3 months which is plenty of time to test a used engine, - IF, you either know someone or can do that yourself.

Start-up warranty....no thanks. I'd have to be real desperate lol.
