You have NO IDEA unless you've been stuck with a bad one. The Price, the HASSLE it can be.... I've seen it take 3 jasper engines to finally get one to take. There's MUCH cheaper/better methods for an Engine RR.

It's your choice, but I can't back them or any re-builder,- except the manufacturer. If you have deep pockets and want to roll the dice in Jaspers
direction...Good luck. I'm sure all experiences aren't bad.

That's silly to think that because you've seen a single instance that they all have problems. Jasper sells hundreds of thousands of engines.
Jasper also updates and corrects the problems with engines that the mfgrs do not. i.e. the spark plug issue and the oil pump. There are 29 upgrades to the Jasper Triton 5.4.

The county fleet vehicles here where I live have had 5 different trucks had a Jasper engine installed... all have heavy use and over 200,000 miles.

That's why I went with them.
Also came highly recommended by the Ford mechanics at the dealer that works on my Flex.

And yes, the warranty also covers labor.

That's good. That's why I said the Internet makes everything but a new engine straight from Ford is a crap-shoot.

Ohh, that was just one instance, but yes, it was the worst witnessed... I know your curious. You just lack experience. It was being istalled @ Ford via customer request. It was a fight to get them to replace EVERY time. Like I said, that was on just one occasion, there has been many problems with reman motors and Jasper has had their share.

Jasper , - 29 upgrades. Are you serious...What good are they if the engine quits running ?

BTW, - Your county must be VERY hard on their trucks when not one of them has an original motor.

Not sure what 'experience' you feel that I'm lacking. But I'm 53 and this sure ain't my first rodeo.

Yes. They all still run. So does mine. And very well too. It doesn't have that annoying lifter -sounding- click click click anymore like the original did either.

They have over 20 vehicles. The F150s with the Jaspers are 16 year old trucks that are driven daily.

Like I said that was just on one occasion, there has been many more. If you need a little more to comprehend that sentence, - It means problems w/Jaspers and others are on going. What I described in detail happened with that swap only. You can't change that, you may be old, but lack truth and experience IMO. - From your replies.

What I've posted on page one stands, - believe what you must.

I'm going on personal experience.

btw... Jasper has been in the business since 1942 and is the largest remanufacturer of gasoline and diesel engines, trannys, rears, etc... do you think they got that way and have been in business for that long by selling crap?

For the person inquiring... check em out for yourself. --> http://www.jasperengines.com/about-us.php

Don't let some internet know-it-all smart *** sway your opinion. Research it all. It's your money. I tossed Jasper out because that's what I did and am VERY happy. I have zero affiliation with them.

I didn't say they sold crap, you own that one.

Listen, -All your doing is posting Hype now...along with linking us to it.

I'm glad you had a good experience with them, - it not always that way in the field.

Again, the best way to go IMO, is on page one, - before the butt-hurt started.
