Looking to increase performance
I posted this in general and then come to understand how he forum actually works... I posted in the wrong area. So here is my post again in the right area, I am looking to get a very noticeable increase in HP, Torque and 0-100 mph time but not sure if I can really do much with bolt on products. I need some help identifying if whats listed below is even worth doing and what am I really going to get out of all of this. I am a new f150 owner and have little to no experience with Ford trucks. Just picked up this vehicle because it was a crazy good deal and wanted a toy to have some fun with.... see notes below.
Just bought a really clean 1999 ford f150 xlt 2WD 4.6L v8
Want to get a little more power and pick up... willing to spend some $$$ but what am I really going to see out of the following. Keep in mind that I am ok with spending some cash but only if I am going to see some real big gains. This is what I have found available that I am thinking to add.
Headers
Full exhaust
Throttle body spacer
O2 sensor
Jet Chip
Cold Air intake
78MM throttle body
180 degree thermostat
Accel Coils
under drive pulleys
What am I really going to see from all of this and is it worth it? If I'm not going to see a 60 to 70 HP and 50 to 60 Torque gain I think its a waste. Any feedback would be great just trying to get the most from bolt on products without wasting time and money.
Thank you!
Spencer

Sell a really clean 1999 ford f150 xlt 2WD 4.6L v8
Buy a really clean 1999 ford lightning 2WD 5.4L v8.
You're going to notice a tiny small gain with all these bolt on, but how they preform together is a unique condition only you'll see on a dyno. These motors won't output much power unless boost is involved.
Consider head work to get them ported and polished.
Or a built 4v 5.4l swap from a Lincoln Navigator.
If I was married to a 4.6 and had cash to spend, I'd do this in order. But consider Lightning advice above.
Long tube headers
High flow cats and 3" mandrel bent exhaust
Gotts intake mod
Electrical cooling fans
Ud pulleys
Tuner
Add port/polish heads before exhaust work if you're super serious.

With all that you may get 20 HP, many of the things on your list will do nothing or even decrease power (TB spacer, CAI, 180 thermostat, Accel coils, O2 sensor, short tube headers, there is no "chip" for these trucks, just tuners).
The fact that your starting with a 4.6 is even worse. A tuner will help a little (mostly with shift points, not any real power gains even on premium fuel). I know a long tube header helps on a 5.4, not sure on the 4.6.
0-100 times? Get out a calendar.
You can supercharge the 4.6 to get some decent power, but that is at least $5000 (maybe less if you can find used) plus install.
The fact is the 2v modular motors in these trucks is not a motor that can be easily modified for power. "Bolt on" power is almost non-existent.
There have been a few 4v 5.4 swaps, but that is a lot of custom work.
