I will post a before and after dyno video when all finished. I will take advice and then see what the outcome is.

Maybe do a 5.4 swap if you need the Tq but the 4.6 is a very capable heavy breather.

....You said Throttle Body spacer, lol.

.... and Accel coils.

if you don't have accels you're not making power.

Yeah Spencer, just run the Motorcraft or Visteon coils. They are much much better built coil.

What gear ratio should I use if I don't want to kill my engine or MPG? Just want a little more speed out of the hole

4.10 or 4.56 tire height depending.

People don't usually feel the jump from 3.55 to 3.73 for very long and IMO it's not worth the hassle, especially if you have anything taller than stock tires.

You'll feel the difference between 3.55 to 4.10 while helping the transmission do less work with 31-33" tires.

4.56's if you have anything greater than 33's. Ideally, 4.56 & 35's.

I can't speak to any tire sizes bigger.

It's all about setup with Give & take. What's your goal?

stock horse power is around 231 for the 1999 4.6l V8 according to sites I have seen, looking for a 50 to 60 HP bump in power and a decent 0 to 60 under 6.5 seconds hopefully. I want to be able to have some decent power behind the petal. Its just a toy to mess around with and wont have off road tires just regular all seasons with 17 inch rims.

I've got a set of 3.73's and a trac-lok diff sitting here.... and I'm wondering if it's worth the swap in ratio.

Was there a factory 4.10 front diff?
