Default Knocking when breaking

When I apply my brakes, usually going over about 20mph, I hear a knocking noise that sounds like it is in the front end.

Also, when I go over a bump in the road, I hear a good bit of rattling in the front end. I don't hear hardly anything in the rear end.

I did have a tie rod end replaced in the right front about a year ago. Any ideas?

Check your caliper brackets. Had a bolt back out once and it knocked when I applied the brakes.

Do you feel anything in your brake pedal or steering wheel?

That's exactly what I was thinking too. Easy fix if that's what the issue is.

I think you are right. Here is a photo of my right sway bar bushing:

That would be the problem go get some sway bar links for 30 bucks and throw them in and slap that one in the win column

Do i need to jack up the truck and take the tire off to change these, or can I just crawl under there and do it?

It's Always easier to have a jack or lift handy but you do not need to take the tires off two bolts... Zip zip and pop the new one in.. Zip zip and repeat for the other side and your all done make sure there tight or the noise will still be there

Well, I replaced the sway bar links and that for rid of the rattle in the front end, but I still get some knocking when I apply my breaks. Now that the front end noise is gone, it sounds like it is coming from the right-rear wheel. Could it be something in my brakes? I definitely only hear it when I apply the brakes.
