Default Installing Double Din CD Player

I have a 2001 Supercrew and just purchased a double din CD player from a friend. Will I need the Metra 95-5026 Kit to install it correctly? What else will I need?

Here is the actual CD Player.

I didn't need an install kit at all in my 00. Just the wiring harness and trimmed a bracket inside the dash to make enough room for it to fit. Its a snug fit, so you don't really need a cage or dash adapter.

My 03 didn't need a kit either. I wasn't the installer but had removed it to install my NAV and there was no kit used.

I'm surprised you don't have a LED halo surrounding your head unit. LOL.

Z7What, how did you swap your climate control for the electronic one? I was thinking of doing that myself from the manual controls

That was factory on many of the later model trucks. Unfortunately it's a lot more trouble than its worth to swap from what I've read.
