Default How High??

I am thinking about lifting my 2001 4x4 crew cab. Any suggestions on brand or height?

Many variables...
are you going for a look?
are you looking for clearance between the truck and the ground?
body lift vs. suspension lift(most common)
Budget?
I would look around to see what you like and what you can afford.
There are also different ways to get lift depending on how much lift you need and what truck you have...ie 4x4 vs. 2x4( prices vary greatly depending on height required and quality of kit).
Give a little more info if you can.
Superlift makes decent lift kits from what I remember, but there are many to choose from.

I would like clearance between the truck and the ground. I want any where from 4-6 inches of lift. I want a suspension lift but they are pretty expensive

4-6 inches...most popular I suspect.
Yes, a suspension lift is the way to go in my opinion, but you can do a combination as another poster suggested, which may save some money.(not sure).
Body lifts are ok, but some stuff will have to be relocated,(bumpers etc)
Shop around and see what you like.
Hopefully others that have experience with the different brands can pipe in.
I think that you would be better to go with a suspension lift. Again, there are choices...rear block, vs. add a leaf vs. new spring set......drop brackets vs. extended radius arms.
I'd find the best kit and then save for it if it exceeds current budget.
Cutting corners usually causes more headache down the road.

Nice truck!....make sure you post pics once you get 'er lifted.

Pretty simple comes with keys and the body lift pucks. Bumper brackets steering linkage extender. If you wanted you could get a add a leaf for the rear for around 70 bucks to bring up the rear a little bit.
