Default Help replacing plugs

Hey all... I have a 98 4.6L and im looking to do a tune up. I am 2nd owner and have no service records. I pulled one of the plugs to get a look at its condition also to see which plug was installed and found them to be pretty bad condition. However, Im not a mechanic and do not know what a plug should look like after 80k.

Anyway, I have read a bunch of guides on this forum about replacing plugs but when I look at my engine I do not see any COPs. I think i just have wires leading to a boot that covers the plug. Am i missing something? If not, do I just need to replace plugs and wires?

Also, i got a price from Firestone to replace plugs for $175 (which i would be willing to pay) but they use Bosch plugs only. I have read alot on this forum about only using Motorcraft plugs. Thoughts?

That's lookin little corroded, mine were all brown. Black means you were running rich and white means lean. So those look ok, just time for them to go. You'll notice a nice little pep back in your motor with the new plugs, I know I sure did.

I don't have a pic of mine but mine were bridged lol. I used autolite I would used motorcraft but wasn't in budget. I bout te plugs and wires and everywhere I went wanted 150 or better to change. I found a place finally to change em for 45. People here will say use motorcraft everytime all the time. I try too.
