Help with AC leaking
So I just had my ac charged and it was ice cold for about two weeks, now it has nothing. I cant seem to track down the leak we dont see any oily spots from the top of the motor. Are there any main points these truck leak? This is on a 03 fx4 with 62k miles btw
The compressor seal is the main point for a leak as I have heard. do use the leak detector to find all leaks.
you will need to charge the system to find leaks. I am thinking the compressor seal just may be the leak due to the low mileage on your rig.
there is also a "sniffer" to find the leaks, an a/c shop will have that.

Well i just went and checked underneath the truck and all around the compressor at the pulley and do not see any signs of oil. Would I be able to tell from just looking if the compressor seal is leaking?

if the leak is recent then yes, the area behind the pulley will most likely have an oily spot on the housing. of course the spot will be due to oil leaking out, which you may not have refrigerant oil in your system.
