Default Help!

I have a 2002 F150 & I bought a wrong set of 265/70/17r wheels & my original wheels are 265/75/16r. So I bought adopters online 5x135mm to 5x5.5 would this work? Or do I need to buy another set of wheels??

What are the lug patterns? The 5 X 5.5 was the 96 and older F150 pattern. They switched to metric pattern in 97.

That's what they've told me also. But they told me also that if I buy adopters it should work? But the lug patterns are 5

It should work. It's not the greatest thing to do, but it will work.

Return them and get the right wheels. People like myself have had wheels fall off because of adapters. For every case like mine, there's always someone who's ran them for years without issue though, do you want to roll the dice? I'd get the right wheels if you're spending green money.

return them, you should never I repeat never change bolt patterns with spacers, but I guess what confuses me is you say you bought 265/70/17, did you buy tires and wheels ? if so just buy a set of stock wheels and run the tires

changing bolt patten is no different than a spacer. They all have another set of wheel studs. Doesn't matter how far spread they are on the wheel side. Unless you have actual information we don't know about. Spacers are the same as adapters, as long as they are hub centric and balanced
