OK, I am glad you risk your life and others, it is real simple buy a part that fits your truck, if you want a Chevy bolt pattern buy a Chevy then, a lot of nice wheels for our gen truck on the market still

it's not that simple, a lot don't come in our bolt pattern, I wasn't arguing the validity of spacer use only the fact that spacers / adapters are the same thing. Your post came across like you were moot about spacers and condemning adapters, all I was saying is they're the same thing. We risk our lives and others every time we pull out of the drive way onto public roads so that comment is invalid but hey, apples to oranges right.

yep and that is why I said , do not change bolt pattern with spacer, trust me I have seen them cause havoc, I was offered a brand new set of tires and wheels from a 2016 F150 if I would use them on my truck but I value my family more than losing a tire or a failed suspension part that can cause a wreck, these spacers create a lot of suspension issues and lets face it most guys don't check them all the time or better yet, replace them with $8 parts and think they last forever

eBay spacers and horror stories from guys with less than good quality of work and attention to detail is all you've / seen or heard, understandable... Yet inaccurate assumptions. There's millions of diesel trucks cranking 1k hp, shredding tires on spacers. Just because billybob got Cracker Jack box China spacers and torqued them to "feels tight" doesn't mean diddly squat. Same thing with knock off ball joint and front end parts people install DAILY. You get what you pay for.. Doesn't mean they can't fail. You add risk just like any offset does no matter how you achieve it to some degree.

There just needs to be an IQ test for purchasing them that's all.

If you must use adapters, then at least use some Locktite BLUE or RED on the vehicle side studs to hold them on. I've known a few guys who use adapters to use specific wheels. Most do NOT use any kind of Locktite, and all but one guy, has lost a wheel or worse. Most of the time, the adapter will come loose, and break off the studs and away goes the wheel.

Personally I detest adapters, but they are made for a reason. If you want them, then at least use threadlocker on them to give you at least some peace of mind, and you might even save some individual who had nothing to do with them,

Did I say, I wasn't a fan of adapters? Oh yeah, I did.

I have a source for the Loctite, but you can get it else where as well. The Quickstix (Blue 248 or Red 268) is my favorite, -easy to use.

Well , I'll link you to a page where you can find it cheap if you look around, -

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from...ctite&_sacat=0

You can get it on Amazon as well. Good luck finding it locally. All that's out there locally is usually the permatex cheap stuff that doesn't work. Unless your looking for fine thread stuff.

Also be aware, if you find it cheap on ebay, make sure you know the product date. Some people on that site sell outdated stuff. Outdated can be okay, unless it was cooked or frozen in storage. So it's best to buy from a supplier that also posts production dates. You want fresh.
