I got a 97 v6 f150 and a 3x3 inch coupling did not fit onto my airbox. Do y'all think a 3x2 one will work?

I used a 3x3 coupling and it was real loose too, but i just tightened the clamp down on the coupling super tight. If that doesnt work then you could probably try a 3x2 but it might be too small.

Yea man I tried the 3x2 one and it won't fit onto the air housing unit...is your air housing unit about 2 inches bc that's the size of mine.

on the 97s the air box inlet is smaller so just use a 3x3 and clamp it down tight as you can get it, it will look a lil funny but it works. ive done 2 97s after i did mine

yea no problems yet, just get it tight. on one i wrapped the inlet on the airbox with duck tape a few times to increase the diameter

think it will help if you cut little v's out of the end of the pipe where it goes into the sidewall? i know it wouldnt allow for much more air flow but would seem like it would allow for a small amount more..

the end sits flush with the fender, so cutting 'v's in the end really wouldnt help at all
