Yeah no kidding. What are good brands of torque wrenches? And why do you say 3 torque wrenches? There's ft/lb and in/lb, but is there another or..? That's something in planning to hopefully get around Christmas. Also, yall know of any good quality sets of big wrenches that they might sell at Lowe's? Only reason I ask that is because that's something for my grandmother to get my dad for Christmas since we don't have any big wrenches. Only big wrench we have is a 7/8. And how much are engine stands anyways.? Good brands? Not necessarily going to get one but just curious.

Dont get cheap wrenches. For a 1/2 ton truck you shouldnt need a wrench over 7/8 unless you're doing a front hub. Craftsman or lowes brand kobalt I think has lifetime warranty if it gets broke. A necessity anymore is racheting wrenches. Get the standard and metric. You will use the 8mm and 10mm most. Anyone here thats worked on these trucks or Fords in general will agree.

8, 10, 13 mm are def used the most.

The control arm bolts are 22mm and 24mm, so there are a few odd *****. I think the hub like Todd said is 34 or 36mm.

A small 7mm is also good to have for the cops.
