Also found a few small imperfections after cleaning out the bore that hopefully honing will take care of

If not you can always go .20 over no problem.

Ya. I'm not really wanting to though.
Once I find out what I need, I'm going to order Pistons. We should have very similar internals. Stock forged crank, Manley H-beam rods, Mahle PowerPak pistons (16cc dish, not flat-top though), and ARP bolts.

Well my internals are still in the balancing shop.

Like I said, I'm waiting on what they can have to do before I order. I cant find a good machine shop either. And debating on having it balanced or not..
And is this your small block your working on?

I think it's number 5 that had a nick in the wall. Just enough to catch a fingernail on
