Its all right man. Trying to purchase another 6# uncaged right now. Waiting for a reply. And there's still a chance I could get the parts I need for the caged unit. I'd rather run the caged, but either way I'll have something on there. Worst case scenario I have one to sell.

Oh, yeah. Found a wrecked HD at a yard not far from me. Thinking about driving down and seeing what all I can get for a package deal. Alternator & support, cables, bolts, misc brackets & such. Maybe it will e a little better than getting each piece separately.

Looked at an 03 HD last week. Explained to owner about my swap and asked if I could pop the hood.
It was eye opening to see how much is missing

When I had allotted about 2800 for my swap, I learned quick it wasn't enough, glad I had $1000 on reserve to get everything. Once you get in there, you might find you need a couple hundred more. These trucks are old, the parts do not want to come off, things break as they should being 11-15 years old. Take your time but don't get frustrated when something breaks. Just be glad it lasted that long

I'm trying to pace myself but its so dang hard once you start spending! Searching through the forums, CL, & ebay is definitely not helping my pace or my wallet! Oooooooooo, I gotta have this. And, wow, what a deal! LOL
