How much freon have you put into the system? You need over 30 psi for the pressure switch to allow the clutch to engage.

Pull the connector off the switch and run a wire across the two terminals/pins, this will allow the clutch to engage to get it charged.

Did you evacuate/pull vacuum on the system after you finished your compressor install? You should do a vacuum pull to insure there is no moisture in the system, as well as testing for holding pressure to check for leaks.

just checked. has exactly 30 psi but won’t take anymore bc the compressor won’t kick on

Jump the low pressure switch plug with a paper clip

Or small stiff wire

If it still dont come on, jump to power plug on compressor clutch with wire from batt. If it dont engage, push on clutch with broomstick if gap too large. If none work the clutch is bad.

Did you add proper oil to system based on what flushed and replaced? And pull vac?

If need to adjust gap, put socket on clutch bolt. Wedge a screwdriver or something to hold clutch plate enough to break bolt.

Did you replace the accumulator? They wont warranty the compressor with out proof you did. I think when you do all that its best to have it professionally charged. You can do the parts replacement and all that but the first time its charged you should let someone who knows what there doing charge it and check out your work. I've emptied out AC systems many times on projects and have no problem recharging them myself except when I replace compressor and accumulator. Then I hand it off.
