How do I tell if I have a vacuum leaks or find it if I do

Take it to a shop and let them smoke test it.

After going threw everything I finally got heat it was the blend door

Use a power inverter and a portable heater.

Blend door x2. Very annoying.

If you remove the bezel around your radio and hvac controls (just clipped on, pops right off), you can actually reach your arm back into one of the vents, around the corner and down to feel whether or not the blend door is open. I'm a big guy, so your arm will fit, but I'm a tall guy, so you might not be able to reach all the way down there.

I went threw the dash behind the glovebox and some what fixed it cause the bottom of the door was broke so it's a temp fix until I get the new one

Ive got 99 v6 4.2 its got a new heater core thermo no heat at all I cut behind the dash to see if I could manually adjust the blend door to see if that was my problem and my blend door is GONE yes gone not there completely missing was wondering if this would b enough to make the air ice cold and also was wondering what the temp control kn.ob actually controlls is it just the blend door or is there more that kn.ob controls thanks for any help

I do believe the v6 and v8 are setup the same so the cool to warm **** controls the door if you go on eBay you can buy a new door for like $25 just install it and it should fix your problem

Mine does that all the time. I no longer have the vacuum canister under the good that was my problem. Need to fix that soon

The root of the problem is a bed vacuum check valve for the a/c.
