Ive got 99 v6 4.2 its got a new heater core thermo no heat at all I cut behind the dash to see if I could manually adjust the blend door to see if that was my problem and my blend door is GONE yes gone not there completely missing was wondering if this would b enough to make the air ice cold and also was wondering what the temp control kn.ob actually controlls is it just the blend door or is there more that kn.ob controls thanks for any help

My dad and I are trying to flush the heater system in my moms 2002 Expiditon but cannot figure out how to disconnect the hoses. Any ideas on how to explain it?

Those are what I refer to as swedge fittings on the hoses. Not sure if there is a retaining clip for the plastic (I'm assuming from the picture) t-fitting, but I'm not sure you can get them apart easily. Is there no connection on the firewall where it goes into the cabin to disconnect them?

There should be two smaller lines going to the heater core on the firewall..
