Default CAI Problem

Today I took my stock cai and modded it until I can't get a new one, I took out the fender piece and to plastic protective box so it is just the filter clamped to one half of the original casing. I have taken my negative battery cable off and reset it and my check engine light will not turn off? Any ideas on what to do?

What is the actual code? CEL isn't specific enough.

Go get the code read at the local AA, Autozone, etc. It may not even be related to the intake and is dumb luck something else, without a code it's all guessing. While we're guessing, I'm gonna say it's a lean code.

Too much air in the air/fuel mixture, mine had a lean code after the CAI, throttle, and MAF. I'm wonderin if there are any aftermarket fuel pumps I could get to remedy this

The fuel pump can flow more than enough, it's the error in the metering due to the CAI that is the cause.

It never threw a code with just the CAI, it did after the aftermarket MAF and throttle body
