Basic matinance
Ok 2000 5.4 lariat exit cab 4x4 have done spark plugs done yesterday, I'm at 107000 miles just did fuel filter last week, I clean the MAF every month (because my k&n drop in). trying to think of what other things I should do at this mileage.
Change the oil in the transfer case of your 4x4 and also the transmission. If automatic transmission, change filter in trans. Also, bleed the brakes to flush out water and rust but only if you can get the bleed screws off without breaking them. If you can, I always put permatex anti seize on the threads of the bleed screws and avoid problems in the future. (like when you need new brakes). I would also recommend using DOT 4 break fluid because it has rust inhibitors and avoids the big rust problems with the brakes in older vehicles.
The auto trans takes about 4 quarts of Mercon Trans fluid when removing drain pan and changing filter. Transfer case also takes also takes about 2 quarts of Mercon If manual trans, the fluid change uses Mercon (3.75 quarts)
Other
Service battery
Check engine drivebelts (easy to replace and only costs about $30)
Drain, flush, refill cooling system
change rear axle lubricant (I have known people who never do this although ford recommends doing it every 60,000 mile). Check with Ford to make sure you refill with the proper fluid.
Chassis Lube
Check PCV valve
check your shocks

Tranny is a must at this point and get ready for a bath in cherry juice.
Two little tips:
1. The Torque converter may not have a drain
2. There may be a little white plug (or dredel looking thing) that can be thrown away
Good Luck

Be careful changing the trans fluid. If it has never been done before 100k then it really shouldnt be changed as there is usually too much friction material suspended in the fluid. If it is cherry red and doesnt smell burnt then go ahead but be aware. The rear diff fluid is supposed to last the life of the truck unless the diff is ever submerged in water. I just changed my original diff fluid with 240k on it because the posi wasnt working anymore.

Post 16. Please read and learn. Lubrication needs to be up to par on all fronts. The "life" according to the service manual is how long they bet you'll own the truck, many keep them longer. The differential is no exception before problems start.
