if you spray pb blaster or brake cleaner around the edges of it to loosen up the tape and then either gently pry it off with a screwdriver or use a piece of fishing string and run it back and forth in the tape to get under it,thats how i took mine off to paint them for my triuck

I used rubbing alcohol and goo-be-gone and a popsicle stick to pry off the badges

You can also try fishing line, however you will need some type of object that won't damage your truck to get in between where the pins are.

I soaked mine with decal remover spray, then taped around the badge, and used a plastic putty knife. That adhesive is pretty strong, so I had to use a thin screwdriver to pry it off near the guide pins. Make sure you get the old adhesive off the badge before applying new 3M tape, so it will sit flush on the '99. I took mine off to put 2010 badges on, so I had to do the taping to avoid scratches. Not so with a parts truck.

They are put on with 3M VHB 2-sided tape. You can find it at any parts store near the body repair section. Make sure you hit the area with wax and grease remover for a good bond. You should find it in the same area.

In the future, a heat gun or hair dryer works well to soften the adhesive when removing.
