Default 97' F150 4.2 V6 5spd engine rebuild and egr delete

I will post pics within the next couple hours but I bought a 97 F150 2wd V6 with a 5spd for $500. I knew the engine needed rebuilt so I did the teardown today and saw that this engine must have been run low on oil or had a bad oil pump because there were a few loose rods and the main bearing were trashed. So I will do a full rering and rebuild and delete much of the emissions related issues. New to the forum but I welcome everyones opinions. Thanks

FYI the 97-98 4.2's were known to have bad oil pumps.

Update- After removing the cam and counter shaft I could see that every bearing in this engine was going to be changed. As Carcrazy suggested this thing either was run without oil or had a bad oil pump. I ordered a laundry list of parts of Ebay this week.

New ordered
Complete engine gasket set $80
Rod .030, Main .010, Cam & Counter shaft bearings $90
Piston rings $42
Crankshaft regrind $100
Freeze plugs $17
New Starter $39
New water pump, timing chain set, & oil pump $92
New timing cover $57
New Clutch kit $120
Total spent so far $637
All New parts bought on Ebay at the best deals I could find. I'm taking the block in to get the cam bearings and freeze plugs installed $65. The cylinder heads are getting a valve job $90. So when all is said and done and will be about $800 in but that is including many new parts that have nothing to do with the engine rebuild I just figure since I'm in there I might as well like the clutch, starter, and water pump.

I cleaned up most of the parts today. These damn things were caked in black crap. They look better now.

You've gone this far you'd be better off replacing the pistons and going with a .030" overbore. That way you would have a long service life.
