Default 6 cd player

On my recently purchased 2003 Lariat SCREW ,When I put a cd in all I get is it shows cd1 trk1 for about 10 seconds and then says bad cd. I purchased a cd cleaner and it still does the same thing. Any suggestions or should I just go aftermarket. Also have the random changing from FM to AM on the radio side.

Think about it. That is a 14 year old changer. They are known for problems when they are dirty. The head cleaner only does the lense. It doesn't do anything for dirt and crap that is inside the changer.

I took the cover off mine and it was full of crap. I threw it away and went to a 6 disc dash head. I no longer have that head either, as I've gone to a DVD/CD-less head, and moved all my music to MP3 format. My radio now has over 15000 songs in storage. To me that was the better way to do things. Besides that, I also have a computer to use and phone wifi and bluetooth. Best for me in the long run, as I hate scratching a disc and having no use of it.

Just buy a FM Modulator to connect to your MP3 player, Tablet, USB Flash Drive, Mobile phone etc.

I tried that, but i went to an Android head instead. I used a Nexus 7 (2012) and had an Alpine amp wired into the system. I put on a modulator, USB hub, Card reader, LX202 interface, and a few other tricks. It worked super but was too cumbersome to make it a permanent way.

My head now started as 4.2.2 and is now 5.1. I had Jelly Bean to start and have now updated to Lollipop. The newer icons are much nicer and the system handles any version without problems. I am currently have install over 500GB of memory on 128GB flash drives, and a 64GB frontal card. I am running 4 flash drives, a card hub and the frontal card.

Its basically a tablet, but in one box, and installs much cleaner.

well dealer did nothing. I know I could go to an aftermarket but would prefer to stay stock. I will check craigs list and if any one has upgraded and has one for sale at a reasonable price I would be interested in a single cd am fm that would fit my truck. I do not need all the bell and whistles as I cannot hear well anyway LOL.
