Remove the cover & vac lines, move the rubber boot towards the shift arm and remove the e-clip. Then you'll use a small punch to get the pin out of the shift arm. Knock the center of the diaghram out. If you can't get it out, use a hack saw.

make sure that shift fork/arm isnt broken before just slapping parts in there. the shift fork is a very common issue with our body f150s.

is it a big job to change the shift fork? Approximately how long if anyone has done it do you need to drop the axle?

It will take a couple hours to complete, and it is not a beginner job but isn't super hard either. I was able to remove just the passenger axle tube to replace it, some people say remove the whole axle.

So, Now that I'm back home I got the actuator taken (Broken) off and now I'm stuck on removing the actuator shaft from the shift fork. If you look at my second picture, it looks like there's two shafts, one smaller and inside the other and in my first picture the brass looks like something was torn out of it. I'm wondering what to do now, what exactly am I supposed to hammer out of the mount to get the shaft removed from the shift fork? Sorry to be wordy and dumb, but I'm finding the instructions to be tough to follow. Thanks

If you're looking at it from the front of the truck, there should be an e-clip on the right side of the bracket that holds the actuator in place. You've got the big end off, but the rest has to come also. As far as the shift fork, there is a small pin that retains it to the axle. Use a small punch to tap it slightly out then grab the protruding end with a pair of vise - grips to pull it out. The shift fork will then slide off the shaft.
