This is what the look like. For those trucks that have the trim
Yep, that's them. I had a windshield replaced a few months ago. The glass shop had ordered and received a bag of clips because they break pretty easily. Too bad they didn't use them as 70% of them broke. The trim was flopping around and I had to take it off before it fell off. Had to take it back, the owner found the clips in back and we put them on. No wind noise.

Do the clips go all the way over the roof?

No, there's actually a guide rod that runs from about the 3/4 way point toward your windshield, from the back, all the way to the back. It's a channel that the trim slides right onto.

Like I said, I had no time to wait on clips, or any patience putting them together (mine actually had three clips, but it was a bear getting the trim on them because of the lack of a tool). So I just made mine permanent.

I thought they did, but the next comment believes no.

Well, I mean, if you're replacing one or two clips, you're replacing all of them. So just slide the trim forward and you'll see the thing it rides on. It's like a big windshield wiper looking piece of rubber that has a solid track to keep the trim on vs the little clips that run down the windshield.

This doesn't show the clips, but sure looks like the trim is removable and probably held by clips all the way around.

Yep, unfortunately, if one or two break you do have to basically replace all of them. They were a bitch to get in and seat correctly.

From my own experience, I literally had the thing off, there's a solid piece up top that slides into the track of the trim and holds it fast. The clips are only meant to be used around the windshield where they're held by the body and can be used to keep the trim piece from touching the windshield directly.

06_F150.....thanks it's the trim piece coming down the side. 2 clips have a broken tab. I taped it up, ran the highway at 80mph and not a sound. Now to just find the clips. Local body shop didn't have them. I'll try the local glass shop. If they don't have them then I'll try the net.
THANKS TO ALL FOR ALL THE HELP.
