I honest to god have no idea since all I see are rubber grommets that look like they're meant to slide into the strip itself. If there's clips, I never saw any on any of them.

I, literally, gorilla glued the strip back onto the rubber grommets (2-4 hours with some sliding clamps and the door open with the internal lights off) and it was good to go. Ultimately if you need to get your windshield replaced, they'll have to damage the strip to take it out and they'll just replace the strip then, the right way.

We are discussing the trim that goes over the roof correct?

Yes it runs along the roof and then down the side of the windshield. Along the windshield it has these odd clips that are a pain in the a**. I thought for sure I had a rattle down behind my cluster and someone suggested I tape these pieces to rule them out. The tape stopped the noise so I picked up some new clips at a windshield shop. I think I broke a couple putting them on but they righted up this piece enough to stop the noise.

06_F150....does your noise sound like cracked ice hitting the windshield in the corner? That's what mine sounds like.

Moving the wiper blades did help the wind noise quite a bit. i think the rest of mine comes from my windshield/roof trim being popped up.
