Whyyyyy??!!!!!!!
This past Monday I had a terrible accident. While I was traveling to work (driving miss Daisy) just relaxing enjoying my drive (you know one of those drives that you don't even turn on the radio). Roads clear (we got hit pretty hard last week with a winter storm) then all of A SUDDEN, I hit some black ice, lost control my bed swung out onto oncoming traffic and BANG!!!!!! GOT TAKEN OUT BY A SEMI!!! My baby is currently getting inspected to deterrmine if that was my last HOORAH with my 06 SCAB XLT. Still waiting. Sorry for taking up a thread spot, but I rarely post and needed to vent out.
I say vent away ! I've had 2 totaled and I wish I would have had a place like this to blow off some steam with fellow F150 lovers that understand what your truck means to you. I noticed you didn't say any injuries. Hope everyone okay. That truck took one hell of a hit ! Hope it all works out for you. Keep us posted.

First off, glad you are alright; getting hit by a semi is no typical accedent. A few more feet forward, and it would have been the cab that the semi slammed into.
I gotta say though, your statement of "just relaxing and enjoying the drive" may not have been the right thing to do when there's snow and ice on the road ways! Last week Dallas got slammed with about 8 to 10 inches of snow. It did not ice up many of the roadways, but I had to drive into work to teach classes. I was not relaxing; I'm a Florida guy, and do not drive those types of conditions, nor do the other drivers around me, although some felt they were superman; driving like idiots and not adjusting to the road conditions.
Glad your alright, and just remember, the truck can be replaced; that's why you have insurance. Not everyone can get hit by a semi and walk away to talk about it.
