I see a lot of are running edge evo's. Is that the best in your opinion. Or is there any others you would rather have. I am leaning towards K&N CAI but I'm am open you whatever works best. I have an 04 fx4 and I'm waiting until I find the right programmer before I start every bolt on I can get my hands
Why do you think you need a CAI? The same effect can be had by doing the Gotts mod. If you really want the under hood "bling" of a CAI, at least get a dry filter that keeps somewhat near stock filtration so your engine isn't ingesting more silica.
This thread explains why the canned Edge device isn't what you'd want for a CAI either. Look at a Gryphon or custom tuned SCT product for that.

Most everyone has lean issues with the 3V 5.4L and aftermarket intakes. The Gotts mod keeps stock filtration and give 90% the gains a CAI could give. An intake's job is to pull in air and filter it. All intakes pull in more than enough, including the stock one, but very few systems keep the same level of filtration. Performance hype seems to trump common sense filtration numbers.
