Default Tranny problem?

My truck has been doing some wierd ****. When i am doing 40 to 60 MPH, RPMs are at 1800 to 2000. my truck seems to bog down. It feels like it is coming from the tranny because when it does it i just give it some more gas and it seems to shift up and it stops.

Also gives out a drone noise..

Any help would be awesome... Thank you

Sounds like it could be a misfire.
any check engine light? WHen is the last time the plugs, fuel filter, coil boots, were done?
Automatic's with a misfire can often feel transmission related at a misfire will often get better and worsen with RPM changes.

133k on it, um Idk I bought the truck about 4 months ago. I have been wanting to do a tune up on it. I am just trying to save some money. All of those are very good points!! I will defiantly look int'l that as soon as possible. Thank you for the ideas. I will keep you posted on what happens and if that is it.

I had the exact same issue.

It's not your tranny.......and PLEASE for the love of a bearded magical dude; disregard anyone telling you anything OTHER than it being a misfire due to bad plugs and cops.

Change your plugs. Trust me.......the truck will feel brand new once you do, and the 'tranny' issue should be completely gone. If it's not look into your cops.

I completely agree I had a 2000 f150 and I was driving it one day all the sudden it started bogging down so I changed my plugs, air filter, and fuel filter, still didnt help so I put it on a machin and it had a cyl 6 missfire and I changed that cop thing but when I got mine they said it was an ignition coil but after I changed that it came alive. I no if I ever have a truck that bogging down again Ill change those. And they are about $50 a piece for my 00 anyway.
