Default Top speed

Is there a speed limiter or governor or fuel cut off on these trucks? If so what is it set at?

Ive got an '06 Supercab 4x4 with a 5.4.

I was able to hit right around 103 mph with it but it seemed like that was all it could do.

Im not trying for a land speed record but I always have to see how fast my vehicles can go.

im not sure about your year. apparently my generation (or the year after it) starts to limit fuel usage at 100mph so that you can't go much past that. i took an 02 toyota RAV4 to 110, and a 05 jeep wrangler to 100. the jeep was scary as hell, i would never do that again. i thought it was either going to explode or fly away. oh, and me and my buddy took his decked out range rover with a 7.4L (i think) to 120. maybe 103 was all you could do because of the wind, or slope of the road, or whatever.

its set at 103 then your truck will not go any faster, you can change it with a programmer, but with my bigger tires, they cant handle those speeds!! Check speed ratings before messing with that kinda stuff
