Default Tires!

Hey, I need new tires for my 07 F-150 FX4. I leveled the truck and now the stock tires look little. I have the stock 18" rims but I want a bigger tire without a real aggressive off road tire. I am thinking either the Michelin LTX A/T2 or the Continental Contitrac TR. Anyone have these on their truck????

The AT2's look cool for the first few thousand miles then the real cool edge wears away and it looks like a car tire....i have the 295/70R18 Terra Grapplers and they work great.

i thought you were looking for less aggressive?

i'd do BFG AT, in your situation

also, i havent had any experiences with the dune grappler but wouldnt that tire wear pretty quick on hwy?

The Dura Grappler is the Highway tire. Like a BFG long Trail. If your looking more aggressive the Terra Grappler has more bite to it. Dura Grappler doesn't perform well off road.

According to the Nitto warehouse i buy from the Durragrappler ain't a popular tire....wear poorly and get poor mileage.

I'm open for recommendations! I want a bigger tire for my truck, not necessarily an off road tire. Something that will look good on my stock 18 rims and fill more of the wheel well.

I'd look at a 285x65x18 BFG or Nitto all terrain. These are close to 33 inches tall and would look good on the stock wheels.

I just did the Bilstein 5100 shocks leveled my truck and purchased Toyo Open Country A/T's. Had them before and as long as you rotate them and keep them properly inflated they last along time. 285/75/18 will fill the wheel well nicely too

I am considering a General Grabber for mine after these Wranglers are gone. I want the same thing you are asking for, a stock wheel and just slightly more rubber. Probably one size over stock but not off road and I pull a camper so I want a good E rated tire.

Check these out. It is just a link for info. I buy local.
