I used to use 0w40 in a mazda truck.. yes mobile made it... my preference to oil is amsoil.. mobile has characteristics that are not good for cold startups etc. most of the 0w oils are made for european cars. bu then again european cars are not well known these days for hitting 100K miles and still running like they were new..

I don't know if your truck is still under warranty but if it is use the recommended oil because god forbid anything happens to your motor like my timing chain tensioner went and ford didn't warranty it because the wrong oil weight was used and a motor craft filter wasn't used.

i use 5w20 amsoil and k and n oil filters... also with amsoil if you ever have a dealer tell u something is not covered underwarrranty because of the oil you use...amsoil will fight for you.. i have heard motorcraft filters arent bad...I do not know myself.

take a look at www.amsoil.com
