Default straight pipe

has anyone done this? ive heard it drops mpgs bad, drops 1 or 2 mpgs, and ive also heard it can even help you gain a few mpgs.

can someone give me some info on whether or not it would drop my mpgs or make me gain some? and would you recommend it?

i have an 07 screw XLT 4.6 v8... thanks

You will only lose MPG because you like the loud noise and keep hitting it. That being said, Unless you have a tuner going total straight pipe and removing the cats will set a check engine light. If you are leaving the cats you will still have a muffling effect and it wont sound too bad.
