Lightbulb Simple & Affordable Performance Upgrades.

Just curious if anyone knows of some simple & affordable performance upgrades available. I don't want a racing truck & I don't want to spend a lot of money but would like a little extra performance out of my 5.4L than the stock setup provides. Any ideas???

What is affordable to you? How much $$$ are you working with?

Affordable= Intake, Exhaust, Tuner

Costly= Engine Build, Transmission Upgrade

I can only assume that you were referring to a DIY performance enhancement.

honestly i'm thinging a few hundred dollars or less but not too much...my truck is still under warrenty as well so that limits a some things. to answer usmcrizzo, I like DIY projects but it doesn't have to be...I don't mind someone else doing the work as long as its done correctly & ofcourse doesn't cost too much for installation.

you are pretty limited if all you want to spend is a couple hundred bucks but if you had a grand to play with you could do the big three which is tuner, exhaust and cai that would be your best bang for cheap and easy performance imo

yea...i know my $$$ limit is pretty low but again I really don't want to spend a lot. honestly i'm getting my exhaust done this friday & thats probably one of the most expensive things i'll get until I upgrade my tires but thats a long time away.

oh yea...doing it right is what i'm all about!!! saving money is hard as heck in this day & age but its worth the wait ofcourse. my wife just had our first son 5 months ago so vehicle upgrades are not exactly on the priority list these days. thank god for tax returns!!

I would recommend the edge...it really wakes up the truck, and since all you have done is your exhaust, it should work fine. My cousin has a flowmaster and an edge and no problems. Then, down the road you could do a CAI and get custom tunes through PHP with your edge.
