Default Rize or procomp?

deciding between a 6 inch procomp stage 2 or a 8 inch rize..

what all do i need besides the kit to get it installed?? do i need to regear RIGHT AWAY if im getting the 8 or 6 inch kit? ill be running 35 12.50 18s on 18 inch rims... im hoping i can just buy the kit and put it on and be good for a while.. since ill be buying lift and tires all in one jump..

ive heard with the rize some people say you need all kinds of stuff but im not really looking to put something on and have to fix or replace a ton of different parts to make the extra 2 inches work... ive heard extended brake lines and other stuff for these 8 inch lifts

any feedback would be awesome im looking into getting on in the next few days

( ill be buying a programmer to go with the lift and bigger sized tires

Ok, Jr. member here... but I have a 6" and can tell you that the electric connects and brake lines seem stretched reaching down to my wheels. I have a Fabtech 6" and a couple of the connections really worry me... don't know what the RIZE does to remedy this on their 8" but I would pay close attention to it before buying.

As for re-gearing... you dont need to do it right away for 35s, but you should do it soon. I have about 1,500 miles post-lift on my stock 3.55 gears with 35s and I am scheduling the shop time ASAP to go to 4.56s. If you have 3.73s then you might not feel it is so urgent... but it still needs done.

My last lifted Ford was just fine going from 31s to 35s but then I had 4.10s stock there... This one with 3.55s needs it BAD but can live a bit longer without.

Best of luck.

I know Rize makes a great product, but I really don't like the crazy design they have. I know I'm outnumbered with my view though.

No reason to step to the 8" for 35s.

If you have the Rize lift with 35's its going to look goofy. I had 37's on my procomp stage 2 and it looked perfect. If you go rize you need to go 37's or it'll look kinda retarted. Stay procomp stage 2 with 35's and that'll be a clean lift.

alright id be willing to go up to 37s.. but if i get the rize lift do i need an extended drive shaft and extended brake lines and all that?? ive heard some people talk about it but just wanted to see besides tires and rims and getting the lift what all id need to do.. do i have to replace any hoses or brake lines or driveshafts? or just get the lift and tires and rims and re geared eventually

I think the kit comes with everything you need, but i may be wrong. And if you do get the RIZE and 37s youll need to regear for sure

I have the pro-comp 6 in with a 3 inch body, running 38.5s. It's simply not tall enough, so if you think you're eventually going to want something higher, go for the 8 inch.
