I tried to do that and the parts that touch battery on circuit board were longer on flip fob so it wouldnt touch the one out of my original fob so it didnt work maybe its different on yours but just giving you a heads up

Got the chips today and what ya know, she works like a charm. The ebay seller sent me 2 chips and told me to keep both for my troubles. Can't beat that deal with a stick!

Just got my replacement and she works great! Switched out my cut key with the blank for my peace of mind. I did have to 'readjust' my ignition cover because it was rubbing pretty bad but I love it now! Bad a lanyard not included in ebay auction....

Palmetto, can you post a pic of the "adjustment" you did to the ignition surround?

Basically what I did was pull up on the shifter cover (I have a column shifter) 'cause it really didn't fit flush. The new key fob really didn't fit until I did this adjustment. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

Mine doesn't quite sit right either. The grooves on the rubber trim piece don't seem to line up with the edges of the plastic wheel cowlings.

Here ya go - it's as if the trim surrounding the key hole has always been off. Never noticed until this wider key.
