Ran those pads for 6 months, would they just cause issues right away like that ?

I meant to see that the pistons on both sides move the same amount. Press the pedal, stick a piece of paper in between each pad and rotor to see if one is binding. Stuff like that. Get closer to the problem. You might see that a caliper is cocked or a piston is not moving.

Are you sure you got them blead sufficiently? Maybe the side that isn't locking has air in it, and the otherside is compensating?
