Default Which programmer to buy

Ive had my Superchip 1865 for about 3yrs and ever since joining this forum everybody seems to have an edge. I love the performance setting on my Superchip. I usually run that program + k&n CAI. But since I have an xlt I can't see my mpg and what not. I've seen that you can monitor your mpg's with the edge. What are the positives and negatives with the edge and do you get the extra horses like I do with the Superchip when I want them? If their are any other programmers out there that people recommend, let me know!

Best advice, and since I am on phone can't look it up. Go edges website and read up on the EVO and CS/CTS they have dyno graphs, and full lists of the monitorable gauges.

This site has some info on it for you.
Also it is in dash OBD as well that's a nice feature. It can mount on the dash and comes with the molding so it's not a "Velcro" or double sided tape mod .

I am new to this site and have to say that there is a lot of good information here. That being said I own a parts store and have my choice of just about any programmer on the market. When i bought my truck (06 supercrew fx4 5.4) the previous owner had a superchips programmer installed. After doing a little research I oredered a Edge evolution and installed it. The performance numbers were a little higher than the superchip one and i like the heads up display and quickness to change the setting. I have run edge products one several of my trucks now and have never had a problem with any of them. I highly recomend the edge products.

I have no complaints about my superchip, its simple and did what I wanted. The obd isn't that critical for me, being a truck and all.

Edge/ gryphon is good for basic programming if you are after something more elaborate I only run SCT on my mustang but you need a good programmer I highly recommend Eric Brooks from Brooksspeed hes the only person I trust to program my car
