I only faintly hear the injector ticking and when I changed the spark plugs a couple months ago they were toast but nothing that would indicate any excessive wear from the intake or anything associated with that. I just dont know enough about engines/intakes/tuners to tell someone that their engine is good using certain combinations of tuners/intakes. I can only say what I have and what is/isnt working in my scenario. With that being said, it seems that if your MAF hasnt changed you should be okay to run canned tunes. Like you said before, since you arent running the 93 performance it will be much better on your truck. If I was to run the 93 performance I would feel way more comfortable if I had the custom tune.
I gotcha thats about what I was thinking, haha I'm just so new to engine mods I gotta ask about everything. I had my old 95 Explorer decked out but all cosmetics for wheeling and protecting the body on the trail. Now that I have a real truck that primarily stays on the road I'm trying to get the best out of that sweet 5.4L but never really knew where to start since I've never hopped up a motor before... gotta learn what everything does and what's best for which application you know?

I am still trying to figure out if I can hook up 2 different Edge Evo's to my home computer without erasing things. I have my Edge all set up but I want to hook up my buddies to make sure it works okay and update it for him. I wonder if that would screw something up with my Fusion account for mine. If I just create another account it should work okay, no? Maybe my thinking is wrong but I should be able to hook multiple Edge's up to 1 laptop. I dont see why not...

Yep..you download their free Pegasus software and they send the tune through that. You should get an email that says the tune is complete and then go into the Pegasus software and click update custom tune...I have already converted my Edge to the Gryphon with the Pegasus software. You can get the Pegasus software on the PHP site on the "Support" tab up top.

I know a little while back the original evo had to be sent in to PHP for them to convert it but not sure anymore. The edge CS and CTS don't have to be sent in. Just plug in, download, and boom you have a gryphon. Then just takes some time to get the tunes to make it custom tunes. I will say bill does take it seriously when he writes te tunes for each individual truck. He takes in where you live, what style of driving, and all the mods that would affect it so you get the most out of your mods and the money you spent and also he needs to make sure a tune will not make the engine or trans break down due to it which I think people forget why it isn't that easy to write one and he usually writes 2-3 for each person.

Sorry kind of got off topic a little but yes the CS and CTS or just needed to be plugged into their software. They do however not suggest plugging it back in once you have uploaded your custom tunes that way you won't loose them.

Its $60 for each tune not each mod. I only use 87 octane so I only got 87 performance and 87 towing and kept the canned transmission tune that came with the tuner

Edit: I just got on their website and for the gryphon its $30 per tune, It could of been updated though or that could be if you are ordering that with a tuner from them and dont forget to give them your HEX code when you get your tuner

I would think as long as you create another Fusion acount for his Programmer it will store all of his settings and you just have to remember to log back into yours before connecing your device. All in all it sounds like it should work no problem.
