Default Needing some help

I have a 2008 ford f150 4X4 with 182k miles. It has been a great truck and never given me a lick of trouble with the exception of the wheel bearings going out. Everything has worked on the truck up to this point. Now my heater is blowing cold. I have read where that could be my blender door actuator.

While reading about that I am curious as to if the actuators are the same from the digital(that I have) versus the **** selector type?

Also, I have the 6 disc cd changer. There were 6 cd's in it and I was going to remove them and swap out with other cd's. I ejected the first one before it gave me a cd error message. Now it says there are no disc and I can't load cd's or eject the remaining 5.

Do I have an electrical issue causing both of these problems? Should I unhook the battery in hopes of resetting everything?

Thanks for your help.

Hey EE,

Don't know the answer to your questions, but when it comes to your wheel bearings, are you still having to replace them? Front or rear? If its the front and its still an issue, you need to replace your steering knuckle(s). I had the same problem, they'd go bad every 5k miles until we figured it out. The little opening built into your knuckle that hold the bearing in place probably has been compromised.

Good luck on your other issues!

Thanks for your input. I did have them replaced again shortly after replacing them the first time. I think it may have been due to purchasing a cheaper brand from my local auto parts. I did go back with MOOG products this time but if I run into the problem again I will definitely check that. Thanks again for your help.

Well, my cd player decided to work correctly. But my heat is still blowing cold. I am going to disconnect the battery and see if everything will reset. As of right now it looks like I am going to be replacing the blend door actuator.

The factory 6 disc players are junk. Replacing it with an aftermarket radio/cd player is the way to repair it.

Digital, the last one I replaced. Its not too hard to do just very tight area behind the dash. Just a Wire harness and 3 screws.
