Default Need help after cam phaser replacement.

hello all, long story short, replaced my phasers last night. and added new VCT sensors. after replacement and oil change (added slightly thicker oil), it idles fine, no more diesel noise, and just a slight tick. went to leave my friends and started down the road and there was a heavy lag in acceleration, feels like multiple misfires, and it doesnt respond as it should, even when it was floored, it feels very held back.no check engine lights. took it back to my buddies and we looked at everything and it all appears to be plugged in just fine. we had to disconnect the battery and 2/3 ECU plug ins while removing the pass side valve cover, and we unplugged everything on the top end as well. my question is this: is it possible I got a bad phaser? or is it more likely that while during the reassembly process, we mixed something up, or a sensor just decided to stop (throttle body, MAF??) truck has 180k on it and did not have this issue before phaser replacement and i am 99% we matched up the timing chain where it was supposed to be. I could really use some input, and appreciate all the help. thank you!

It's for the fuel trims. Anytime the battery is disconnected the truck needs to relearn the fuel trims. Its in the owners manual.

so after trying the reset, it didnt get any better. I was driving down the highway and i actually got hard misfires. this happened 3 times, once at 3k rpms, and another at 4k. then once on the way up a slight incline at 2500. check engine light flashed, no hard code. and still chuggs heavily. its the worst from 1100 rpm to 1500. thats when the engine is at its worst. still not sure what this could be. but once i let off the pedal, or press it and try to power through, it feels a little better. and again, idle is fine, just that new ticking noise that goes away at 1500 rpms. im stumped

I would start with clearing up the misfires then. Usually the best course of action that is to replace the plugs (use motorcraft sp546) and also put new boots and springs on each coil. That would be my starting point if it were my truck.
