Thumbs down mind preformance chip fail !!

Can someone help me here.....I went against my better judgement and bought this piece of crap for 25 bucks. I installed it and my truck started dying at random times. I took it out and it still doing it......can someone tell me why and what is making it do this ???

no codes....it is just a module with wires that clip into the wires of ur IAT sensor........im so pissed, but can only slap myself

try doing a computer reset and hope the "chip" didnt fry anything expensive

And I do that how ? Take the neg cable of the battery for a bit ? or is there something special I need to do ?

My guess is it's one of the 'chips' that goes into the air intake temperature sensor. What it is is a resistor that makes the ECU think the air is a certain temperature all the time. This causes the truck to run lean or rich and kill the truck or it's just confusing the heck out of the MAF and ITS. I think you know now that a quality custom programmer is ~$400.

thats correct, pull the neg cable off for 20min or so. some recommend an hour, seems a bit much but if you have the time, feel free to leave it off as long as you want. then drive the truck around so it can relearn the necessary info to idle/run correctly

Otto457 I will not ever take a shortcut/cheap route for my truck again.......not worth it !!!! @ luckythirteen13 ill give it a try and see what happens.......thanks fellas !
