I go 3,000 miles between changes on my '07 with Motorcraft synthetic blend. I never go any longer because mine sees a lot of short trips. Lots of cold starts. Here is my Blackstone report.

I went 8500 miles with Mobil1 full synthetic - first run of full synthetic. Possibly the synthetic was cleaning the residue left behind from non synthetic????
Didn't like the dirty, dirty appearance when I changed the oil. Looked to be fairly clean on the dipstick - filthy in the drain pan.
Oil filter was Mobil 1 Extended Performance.
Will go for 7000 miles to the next change.

4-5k miles on valvoline full synthetic high mileage 5w-20. I used 5w-30 twice and had clatter on cold start up so I switched back to 5w-20 with no more clatter. FL820s filter

Every 3k with pennzoil. Swapped to full synthetic pennzoil at 100k. Use the motorcraft filter. Just changed the VCT solenoids and everything I could see looked clean as could be. No sludge.

I decided to go every 500 miles.

Don't trust the old truck monitor and 3000 was made up by oil change places.

I assume you meant 5000 miles, not 500?
