Default Master Window Switch Failires (Poll)

Just trying to get an idea of how many people have had their master window switch (driver door) fail on them, either requiring a replacement or fix.

EDIT: Damn miss spelled title. Sorry everyone. Can and Admin fix to say "Failures" not "Failires". Thanks!

Mines messed up. Still works if you hammer on it but it's hit or miss

Then eventually yours will need to be replaced or fixed. All mine have been the typical signs. Rolls down perfectly. But starts to act up when rolling up. Eventually needing to press hard to get it to roll up, and then nothing on the up side. Always good on the down side though. On my 4th unit now, just installed last Friday.

I replaced the driver's master switch. Was an easy fix that took about 5 minutes.

Can you post on the poll too brother? Thanks! Just trying to get and idea of the severity of the problem. It's an easy replacement like you said. Just sucks having to replace every few years.

1 Master switch in 6yrs, and none of my passenger, front or rear, will roll up. Only down.

Sounds like me. Purchased the truck new in 12/06. Replaced the 1st under warranty. The last two have been on my dime. Truck has just over 45K though, as she's not my DD.

Gosh damn man. Sorry to hear. Mine have always been the master driver switches.

No worries, just want to gauge the problem. I'm a member of another Ford forum
with too many Ford apologists who attempt to discredit any/all problems with Ford. They believe this is a small scale, minor issue (like they believe with the spark plugs and cam phasers).
