Sorry bout the links. Here are the listing numbers on eBay.

370074178065 - SMD LED's. These are for the HVAC, radio, and possibly the air bag but not sure on that one as I haven't seen it in any threads.

370195834556 - PLCC-2 LED's. These are going to be the ones that you will use for all the window/locks.

These listings are for blue. Just look for your color and there ya go. I would order atleast 100 of each, leftovers incase you mess up, but the HVAC and dash (not the cluster) will be upwards of 50. I am ordering mine this weekend and gonna do the mod after Valentines day (ugh, gf's ). After several requests, i'm gonna do another write up so its not in a 9 page thread. plus i used a few different methods i wanna share. look for it sunday-ish? thanks NJ STX

Depending on your truck year, if people tell you to use 0805 DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM!!!!

I repeat, DO NOT use 0805 LED's for door switch. They are to small. If you want to try the LED swap on your back doors and passenger door (drivers side is easy) then good luck. You have to pry the circuit board off prongs and turn it over to unsolder and solder the new LED's back on. Reapplying the board and properly securing it back to the prongs is what tons of people have issues with.

My alternative suggestion can be found here:
https://www.f150forum.com/f4/window-...utorial-36971/

Anyways, the proper size for your doors is 1206 SMD LED's.

As previously noted the headlight switch and AC controls use SMD SMT PLCC-2 Blue LEDs. I got 50 of them from ebay for $15 bucks. MCD on the SMD's mean brightness and a good MCD is around 800 or so but bigger number is ok.

oh and not all your AC control LEDs need to be removed. You have some that reflect red for the hot side and those you don't remove. My last count was 16 on the ac but to find out for yourself, just take out the ac controll panel, remove the face plate with a tork screw and plug it back in. You can see the LED's you will need to remove.

Also my headlight switch on has 4....so again it depends on your truck. Best thing to do is not take our count on it, do your own count.

Thanks XPerties for the add-ons. I havent done these mods yet, for the exception of my cluster, and was just passin on what I had found so far. Had been waiting for someone to follow up to this too. Your info is awesome and definitely fills in all the gaps I laid out in front of you.

Ok, I just read your thread about doing the switches... Now I'm not to sure if I want to attempt this. Lol. I went cross-eyed reading it

I'm laid off for the winter from work so I had nothing but time but I can tell you it was trial and error doing it. Once I figured the easiest way to do it (3mm led) it was a breeze but prior to that I used many curse words my wife had never heard me say.

On a good note, the drivers side LED's are right on top and took me like 10 minutes to do the swap out (once I had the right size SMD LED's).
