And of course they were all having issues here and there and that is to be expected. What Fordjunky said is about the best answer you can get. Whichever one you choose of the bigger names, I highly doubt you will be disapointed with whoever you choose. Personally I settled on PHP and am now waiting on my custom tunes. Good luck.......
I thought I was settled on Edge but a buddy of mine has one and it just killed his engine. :O. Diablo tuner?

I had a Diablo tuner on my first Mustang before the SCT. I sold the Diablo a week after getting it and been using SCT ever since.

Great. These are the things I need; i would rather save up another month and spend 550 on an SCT than spend 300 on Edge and it screws my engine

For the f series world, edge or SCT for sure. Bully dog, super chips, diablo, others like that don't have a very good rep. Not saying they are all bad, just there is a reason that vast majority of folks use the SCT or edge for the trucks depending on budget and what type of tuning looking for

Was it a custom tune on his Edge? It's usually not the tuner itself. The tune may not have been safe and caused damage. Or is it possible he didn't keep up with maintenance on his truck such as the plugs?

He did not have a custom tune, but its lifted, has a new exhaust and everything. I thought it may be he didn't have a custom one, so it wouldn't run his truck right.

Thanks! I think the SCT is the way to go, I have not heard anything negative about that. It is a cool display and is it easy to mount/install?

The SCT Livewire TS 5015 is very cool. Nice clean easy to read display and neat apps like horsepower estimator, 1/4 drag times, 0 to 60 foot times, real time guages, plug in for a rear camera display, I like it best of all the tuners I've used which has been most of em over the years. Comes with a windshield mount kit as well and literally plug and play use.

I got the sct 3015 around Christmas and I love it! It made a huge difference. The throttle response is a lot better (when I first tuned it and and started backing out of my driveway, I did a burnout.. Whoops. Lol) the mpg's went from 11 to 14-15 around town. I got it from mpt (morepowertuning) and it comes with 3 custom tunes. The economy tune killed my gas mileage and throttle response.. So I wouldn't recommend that. I drive around on performance with the mild transmission shift. That's what I think the best daily driver is. And I have a k and n cold air, and straight pipe exhaust.

But I ran the cold air for 2 years with no problems before I got the tuner. But the tuner just makes the cold air actually work. When your trucks not tuned for it, your not getting anywhere near what you can get out of it.
