Hey everyone. Just bought an 05 5.4 SCREW. The previous owner did however forget to tell me the keyless entry door code. How would i go about resetting this?

the code is printed behind the back seat on the drivers side on the securtiy computer. you have to take the back of the seat out and remove the carpet and you will see the box with a 5 digit number on it. or you could take it to ford and they can read it, but unless you have a buddy there you will probably have to pay a ridiculous price for one minute to plug it in.

I've noticed that everyone says to take the seat out... but on my 05 super crew there was a card the size of a credit card in my owner's manual pouch that had a reset code.

I have tried to call him, but he wont answer. Also no owners manual. What is the best way to remove the back seat. I tried several weeks and had the seat part removed, but could not figure out how to remove the backrest... any help would be awesome

you tube it. thats what I did there was a video of a guy who shows you how to remove the backrest. Pretty much all you do is jerk up on it really hard and it just pops loose. You DO NOT need to remove the seat. Just the backrest. And yeah Ford was gonna charge me like 65 bucks or something ridiculous just to tell me what my code was.

Good luck on just yanking the seatback out!

There are four tabs that secure the base of the seatback that you need to release with a screwdriver. They are at the childseat tie ins.

There's a walkthrough in the how to section of the forum. It's titled "f150 rear seat removal my way"
