Nice to know there is alternatives for the earlier year trucks? I checked out that part number but no pics of the product. Anyone have any from after they received it?

I just ordered the pie and a clarion rca to 3.5mm jack from amazon for 100 bux. Yea I could go buy an aftermarket headunit for that, but I like my steering wheel controls.

What year is yours? I'd like steering wheel controls.

there is a way to use the AUX button, but it is so expensive I didn't even try.

IIRC it is pin 13/14 and 16 on the radio harness that feed the aux input, but don't quote me. If you find a wiring schematic you can find out the right pin positions.

The pigtail from the Motorcraft replacement book was effn expensive, like 60 bucks for the 07 truck, which is what you would have to use. Between the 2 pigtails it would have been twice as much as the Triptunes.

I actually have a XM radio harness here I could have used to get into the radio without the modulator, but I didn't want to hack it up.

PS you can add the steering wheel controls, you need to buy the switches and then run one wire from the steering column harness to the radio to make them work

Ok, I thought I had this all figured out. I went to the salvage yard and gathered all the pieces including the wiring harness that goes from the input jack to the plug that wires in to the back of the radio. I plugged it all in but it wont read the iPhone to play my music, what did I miss? All it reads is the Satellite radio that I do not subscribe to. Here are the pictures of everything I got and plugged together.

The only thing I can think might be the reason it don't work is my radio is from a 04 or 05, my truck is a 06 and I pulled out the radio from it because it was a single cd. The one I put in was a 6 disk from a 04 or 05....

neggy said something about the pinout on the connector, so it may be different with sat radio. go figure in 09 ford puts in 2 usb ports and a line in.
